Peoples Development Initiative (PDI) :

The Peoples Development Initiative (PDI) is a Socio-Economic, Environment and ecological program that aims to address poverty reduction, environmental resilience through the power shifting of village based Peoples Organization members along with safeguarding the Land facilitated by Community Development Association (CDA).  PDI has been operating as a partnership program between Peoples Organization and CDA. While the CDA plays a facilitating role, the core of the program is driven by the active participation and self-managed by the Members of the Peoples Organizations. Such collaborative approach ensured that the program is tailored to the specific needs, strengths, and aspirations of the community leading to sustainable development outcomes. This participatory approach fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility among the community, which in turn enhances the long-term success and sustainability of the initiatives undertaken. The main idea behind PDI is to involve community members directly in the planning, implementation, and management of development initiatives ensured that the initiatives are relevant, sustainable, and reflective of the community needs and desires.

The active involvement of community members in the Peoples Development Initiative (PDI) transforms them from passive beneficiaries into active agents of change. By participating in all stages of the program, they contribute their insights, skills, and efforts, resulting in initiatives that are tailored to their needs, sustainable over time, and deeply ingrained in the fabric of the community's development journey, their development goals. This participatory approach has been fostering rationales of responsibility and sustainability.
